It struck me as I drove to the studio this morning, planning out my day, what a vastly different process that is than it has been for the last more-years-than-I-would-ever-admit. Instead of thinking through the difficult conversations I would have, the boring meetings on the schedule, the looming deadlines… I was planning which colors of embroidery thread to use on a block for a wedding quilt!

Laughter and the pursuit of creativity are the two best medicines for anything that ails me. And they are good preventive medicine as well! Spent the evening laughing until the tears flowed, with friends both good and true, and received a windfall gift of beautiful, colorful threads to use on the embroidery machine. To top the day off, I was able to share the joy experienced by a new convert to the art of longarm quilting! It just doesn’t get much better than that!
