It’s a bit of a mystery…

It's a bit of a mystery...

My friend has a wonderful family quilt she is repairing. It is 1930’s fabric, and appears to be a version of a Sunbonnet Sue — but we need help identifying this pattern. It appears to be a PIECED version of Sue — rather than appliqued. All the pieces are made with straight edges as you can see. The triangular flowers are definitely interesting — and more so because they are all in good repair, in spite of being made of red fabric! The hat is made from a wonderful paisley fabric, and blocks are about 8″ finished. What can you tell me about this interesting pattern?

  1. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your blog?
My blog is in the exact same niche as yours and my visitors would genuinely benefit from a lot of the information you present here.

Please let me know if this okay with you. Appreciate it!
