I enjoyed quilting this patriotic quilt on Saturday at Seldom Seen Quilting Studio. Some red-white-and-blue variegated thread worked very well with these fabrics — the blue disappeared on the blue squares, the red disappeared on the border and all three colors virtually disappeared on the red bandana-like squares. The end result is very appealing. I hope the quilt-maker likes it!
The overall effect is gorgeous. The red gingham squares are very curious. I wonder what the process was for making it.
The red squares are vintage fabric printed in a crazy-quilt pattern, mixing red gingham, bandana prints, etc.
